WHY ARE YOU BLIND TO THE BLACKS?

Why the living blacks are looked down upon?
while the fossils underground
that have given you wealth abound
and are adorable all around

When the river's black silt floods either banks
when crops flourish and brings you rank
do you ever say its nature's prank ?
when cuckoo's sweet note
brings down spring
on a few sips of black dog
your soul do swing
can you ever think
those blacks you can fling?

Can you forget the tune
that sails across your heart?
those black magical reeds that brew up the melody
befriend your soul and become its treasured part?

when you can't put so many blacks apart
then why the living blacks
upon whose shoulders you have made your base
why shove them aside
why don't you value their pride and grace?
why are they still an unheeded race?

GLORY WRAPPED IN BLACK

 The glory wrapped in black

The black clinched fists
dancing on the ring
sometimes with an upper cut
sometimes with a pouncing jab
the triumphant song they leap and sing

The panthers on the track
the juggling legs with a ball
the lightening strokes from tennis bat
you utter a name he is black

when their shackled hands
remind them their forlorn past
seeing their mom's torn trampled gown
their choked eyes burst
they muster their rage and cloak inside
blast all these arenas with blazing pride

WHERE IS THE HARM ! !

Where is the harm
not being a white !
what if the gem in me
through dark pitch night
you behold glowing bright !

Isn't that enough
the stream in you and mine
will forever be red and only red
isn't that enough both you and me
will be mingled up with the same soil
and our eternal bed to be laid up in heaven
the day we'll be lying dead

Then where is the harm
not being a white !
why perspire so much day and night !
is that only prevailing on a colour
drying up our common treasury
with your brothers you are set to fight ! !
